Professional Teaching Experience
- 27 years of teaching secondary Visual Arts.
- Taught 3D Design, Drawing and Painting, Applied Arts, Foundations for Visual Arts, 9th Grade Humanities (team taught curriculum)1976-02.
- Taught Computer Aided Graphic Design (Software: Photoshop, Painter, Pagemaker, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, & Flash using either Mac Os/ Win Os ) and Senior Portfolio 2000-02.
- PDA (Professional Development Academy) Instructor, offered workshops in digital photo editing (Photoshop), Desktop publishing (Pagemaker), Using the web as a resource tool in the classroom and basic drawing with a word. processor (MS Word, Claris Works) to public school teachers in the West Warwick School District 2000-02.
- Tutored adults and students in drawing, painting, sculpture and basic computer skills.
- Taught art program for preschool children, summer of 1985 at R.I.S.D
- Attended teacher workshops at Brown university (1995-97) , Watson Center to study the application of technology as a tool in the classroom. ***

Administrative Experience
- 14 years experience coordinating kindergarten through twelfth grade Visual Arts staff as Visual Arts Coordinator for the West Warwick Public Schools. *
- Worked with local community leaders and citizens to develop school and community partnerships with the Visual and Performing Arts Departments such as historical murals, sign painting, decorations for local festivals, parades as well as a wide varity of public performances.*
- Responsible for the promotion of and the public relations for the Public School Music and Visual Arts departments in the community of West Warwick as well as in neigboring communities.
- Responsible for proposal and purchase of annual supply, equipment, equipment repair and technology budgets for Visual Arts department systemwide.
- Organized and chaired employment committees for the appointment of professional teaching and administrative staff.
- Initiated and coordinated curriculum development K through 12 in the areas of Visual Arts, Music and Performing Arts.
- Responsible for course revision and course descriptions for annual program of studies at secondary level.
- Evaluated and made recommendations for non tenured teaching staff in the area of Visual Arts annually through class room observations and professional conferencing.
- Wrote and received grants of $50,000 for the funding of technology for the Music and Visual Arts department.
- Wrote and received $40,000 of funding for a tri-commuity Working Wonders Grant (R.I.D.E.) to develop Personalized Curriculum(School As Community).
- Coordinated annual fundraising activities for department projects and student scholarships.
- Presently trained in the development and application of student initiated rubrics based on the State Frameworks and National Standards for K-12 Visual Arts in Education
- Participated in Breaking Ranks Initiative and Annenberg School reform.
- Member of the Rhode Island Art Teacher Association
- Selected as a NEASC team member fall 2001, for accreditation of South Kingston High School,to review of curriculum assessment and funding
